Jason R. Kaplan is the sole shareholder and founder of the Palm Beach Law Group,
P. A. Mr. Kaplan brings a wide variety of business experience and skills to his
legal practice. Before entering the practice of law, Mr. Kaplan was a successful
businessman in both commercial and residential real estate and development. He
is also the creator and co-founder of the attorney website, Law-Book.com.
His family linage consists of legal scholars that range from judges, lawyers
and law professors. He was born and raised in sunny south Florida. He is an honors
graduate from South Plantation High School in 1996, and was awarded multiple
academic scholarships to Florida State University. In 1998, Mr. Kaplan was personally
selected as a legislative aide for former Florida Governor and United States
Senator, Bob Graham. He graduated with honors in 2000, receiving a Bachelor of
Science in Communications with a focus in Advertising and dual minors in Computer
Science and History. Thereafter, Mr. Kaplan was awarded a scholarship to attend
Oklahoma City University, Sarkey College of Law where he graduated earning his
Jurist Doctor degree in 2003. While in law school, he was invited to join The
Ruth Bader Ginsberg American Inn of Court, a prominent group consisting of an
amalgam of judges, lawyers, law professors and distinguished law students dedicated
to improving the bench and bar. Additionally, Mr. Kaplan had the prestigious
honor to serve as a legal intern in the Pentagon in Washington, DC for the United
States Judge Advocate General (JAG) Corps office - an esteemed clerkship awarded
to only 25 first year law students from an estimated pool of over 3,000 national
applicants.
His client's range from multi-million dollar corporations to small and medium
size businesses, families and individuals. He has extensive experience in a wide
range of health law with an emphasis on dental professionals, employment law,
civil and business litigation matters and breach of contract.
For several years, Mr. Kaplan served on the Board of Directors, as Vice President
for a nonprofit children's charity, The Children's Healing Institute. In addition,
he also donates his free time volunteering as a mentor for another nonprofit
charity that helps terminally and seriously ill children, Starlight Children's
Foundation. Mr. Kaplan, together with the support of the Seminole Tribe of Florida-
Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, has hosted grand events and galas for the benefit of
the children of these charities.
A resident of Florida for almost 40 years, Jason and his wife Nikki spend their
time with their daughters, Harper and Winnie, and with the family dog, Stitches.
When not spending time with family, Jason is an avid boater, who greatly appreciates
fishing advice.
